Potash-bearing salt beds formed Saskatchewan middle Devonian period.

The Prairie Evaporite formation includes halite sylvite carnallite anhydrite dolomite clays. Halite hosted within thick beds grained crystals ranging 10cm. Sylvite crystals sizes 0.5cm 2.5cm usually anhedral partially anhedral. Sylvinite hosted cyclical sequences usually bottom sequence. Carnallite usually 0.5cm 10cm size along sylvinite halite corners salt members.

The project hosted within carnallite zones Esterhazy Belle Plaine members. Insoluble components disseminations evaporite salts hosted within 1m-thick salt beds interbeds. Multiple clay horizons traced identified within project area.

Burr project exploration drilling

Until 2009 exploration Burr project included dimensional (2D) dimensional (3D) seismic survey programmes addition drilling 17 potash wells. 90km 2D survey completed 2006.

In 2007 drilling potash wells extending 5,617m completed. following year 60.2km² 3D survey completed along drilling seven potash wells extending 7,541m.
